Rumours abound of a new update for the iPhone that is supposed to appear in the next few weeks – although the list of new features reads more like a wish list. The video above apparently shows the new moving / pageable icons which would allow the user to scroll and move icons around the screen. Here’s that list in full:
- Moveable and pageable icons (making room for 3rd party icons?) – see video above
- Disk mode of storing general data (much like the iPod)
- Voice recording mode for capturing voice memos
- GPS-like triangulation positioning in Google Maps
- Multiple recipients for sending SMS
As always, any new upgrade is likely to break existing mods to the firmware that allow the iPhone to run third party code or work with other carriers.
