iPhone 1.1.3 sms problem fixed?

After reports that some sms messages were being displayed in the wrong order after installing the latest 1.1.3 iPhone update, Apple have posted a solution – turn on the automatic date / time updates!. Apparently this occurs when the internal clock doesn’t match up to the carrier clock. Anyway, here’s the solution:

O2 today announced a complete overhaul for it’s iPhone tarrifs.

As part of the new structure, the three iPhone tariffs will be brought inline with the per-minute and text bundles offered with other deals.

iPhone SDK key leaked?

Erica Sadun over at TUAW says that it appears that the iPhone’s SDK key — which will probably be required by all “official” third-party apps — has been leaked. Two different sites currently have the key posted, but it’s all just for show until next month, when the SDK hits for real — and the code is undoubtedly changed.

If you want to make a custom icon for your website that will show up in the Springboard when a user makes a “webclip”, using their iPhone or iPod Touch, all you need to do is:

1. Create a 57×57 pixel PNG image

2. Name the image “apple-touch-icon.png”

3. Copy it to the root folder of your website
