PHONE Magazine has been invited to Apple’s exclusive iPhone SDK Roadmap event today, 6pm GMT (10am PST), and will be live-blogging the whole thing at http://live.phonemag.com/ We’re expecting news not only of the SDK – which will finally allow developers to produce official third-party applications for the iPhone and the iPod Touch – but about new “enterprise features” that Apple is promising. Does that mean support for Microsoft Exchange? That’s what the analysts are saying – in fact some believe Apple have been beta testing the corporate push-email over the past few months.

Everyone wants Flash on the iPhone, but you ain’t gonna get it. At least not if Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ comments on the popular platform are to be taken plainly.

This morning Apple started sending out invitations to an event to be held Thursday, March 6. The topic? The long-awaited iPhone SDK. The invitation read: “Please join us to learn about the iPhone software road map, including the iPhone SDK and some exciting new enterprise features.” Finally!

Not really iPhone news but… Apple has refreshed its MacBook and MacBook Pro (consumer and “professional” laptops), with new machines that start (for the Macbook) at 2.1GHz up to 2.4GHz, with 120GB to 250GB drives and 1 up to 2GB RAM, starting at £699; with the MacBook Pro, it’s 2.4GHz-2.6Gz, 200GB-300GB, and an NVidia 8600GT graphics card. The one bit of fun? The MacBook Pro comes with a multi-touch keypad a la MacBook Air or iPhone – read about it; see the movie.
